Design Committee
Design guidelines, facade renovations, historic
preservation, mass transit, newspaper boxes, parking
issues, public furniture, signage, streetscapes, traffic
calming, walkable communities, zoning/regulation issues,
graffiti removal, litter control, community policing,
window displays, banners

Silver City Main Street's Asian Festival: East Meets
West
National Committee
An event-planning committee to plan a brand new festival
in Silver City, similar to Asian Moon Festival.  Committee
members assist in planning and implementation of the
festival.   
  • Meetings begin after January 1
Monthly Opportunities
Occupancy Report  
Requires comfort talking with business owners,
superior organizational skills, comfort making
phone calls, and online research.  
  • 3-5 Hours per month to update the Main
    Street Retail Occupancy and Vacancy
    Report
Documentation
Requires experience with photography and
editing,  good communication skills, and timely
follow-up.  Video documentation and editing
opportunities also available. Great portfolio
builder for a student or young professional, or
for a seasoned professional to donate their
skills to an innovative community revitalization
program.  
  • 1-3 Hours per month to document positive
    changes on the Main Street

Communications
Superior writing skills and experience with
social media and e-communications needed.
Graphic design opportunities are also available.
  • 3-5 Hours per month assisting with the
    development of communications
    materials.
